The STTA works closely with Singapore Sports School and their educational partners to provide our national paddlers with a complementing educational track while they play are playing and competing internationally.
The STTA desires to do everything possible to encourage our Singapore born national paddlers to become the best and it is our wish to produce more home-grown Olympians.
The “STTA – Dr Tahir & Associates Future Ready Trust Fund” aims: – to motivate our Singapore born national paddlers to scale greater heights and ultimately representing Singapore at the Olympics. – to finance our Singapore born national paddlers to a University education (local/foreign) or further learning opportunities after their stint with STTA so long as they have represented Singapore at the Olympics 2016 and/or beyond. – to reward our Singapore born national paddlers for their continued commitment and dedication.
The driving force behind the trust fund is to encourage our Singapore born paddlers to aim high.

The STTA provides salary with CPF for our national paddlers playing full time. For those national paddlers who have graduated from secondary school or Singapore Sports School and chose to continue with their studies, the STTA supplements them with a training allowance.
The STTA works closely with Singapore Sports Institute in helping our athletes optimize their performance through direct application of leading-edge science, performance testing and monitoring, applied research and education.
The STTA National Team Endowment Fund (“NTEF”), formerly known as the “STTA Youth Endowment Fund’’ was started in year 2010.
The key objective of NTEF is to reward our full time national players after they retire from the national team, having sacrificed their full time education to bring glory to Singapore with their strong commitment, passion and dedication to promote the sport of table tennis in Singapore.
The NTEF is only for full time Singapore born national players with a minimum of 3 continuous years of service.
Beneficiaries: Isabelle Li (2017, $55,000); Pang Xue Jie (2018, $31,657.50); Goi Ruixuan (2024, $12,000); Wong Xin Ru (2024, $6,000)
