The annual CoachSG Conference 2018 builds on last year’s theme of “Coaching Better Every Day” with a focus this time on our local context. Hence the theme – “Coaching Better Every Day: Made in Singapore …”. The Conference will take a critical look at the achievements of local athletes and coaches of the past and present and evaluate those successes from the lenses of Coaching Pedagogy, Coaches’ Professional Development, Character and Leadership in Sport and Sports Science and Technology. These will form the sub-themes of the 2-day Conference with each being triggered with thought-provoking keynotes followed by concurrent workshops and seminars.

The keynote speakers include Dr Richard Charlesworth, who was the coach for two-time Olympic gold medallist Australian Women’s field hockey team – Hockeyroos and later coached the Australian Men’s field hockey team – Kookaburras. Dr Richard Charlesworth is a multi-award winning coach who will share his thoughts and experiences on the evolution of coaching and the key considerations for successful coaching in the modern era.
