The Mixed Doubles pair of Koen Pang and Wong Xin Ru ended a memorable month in Europe, as they clinched their second runners up title in four events at the WTT Feeder Havirov 2024 yesterday.

They had also finished second at the WTT Feeder Varazdin 2024, and were joint-3rd at last week’s WTT Feeder Dusseldorf and at the WTT Feeder Otocec.

Facing off once again against familiar adversaries Park Gyuhyeon and Yoon Hyobin of Korea, whom the Singaporean duo had previously encountered in the semifinals in Dusseldorf, Koen and Xin Ru were determined to seek turn the tables on their opponents following their defeat in Germany.

However, the Koreans once again had the Singaporeans number as they ran out comfortable winners in straight sets, 11-6, 11-8, 11-5. While they narrowly missed out on the title, their performance during the run to the final was nothing short of extraordinary, earning them the well-deserved title of runners-up, including a convincing 3-0 victory over higher ranked opponents in Luka Mladenovic and Ni Xia Lian of Luxembourg in the semifinals.

As they continue to hone their skills and strive for excellence, the pair are poised to make even greater strides in the sport.
