
Rising star Loy Ming Ying (黎明映), 13, clinched her first WTT title of the year when she emerged victorious in the Girls U15 Singles event at the WTT Youth Contender Antalya 2024.
Ming Ying, who had earlier in the week secured a joint-3rd in the Girls U17 singles, beat hometown favourite, Nil Basaran of Turkey, in straight sets, 11-6, 11-3, 11-3 to clinch the title.
In fact, she did not drop a single set in all her matches en route to the final, winning all her five matches by 3-0 scorelines.
This is Ming Ying’s first U15 title on the WTT circuit. She had previously won the Girls U13 singles titles at the WTT Youth Contender Wladyslawowo and Berlin in last year.
