Siblings Loy Xing Yao (黎行耀), 15, and Loy Ming Ying (黎明映), 13, both clinched joint-3rd in the Boys and Girls U17 Singles events respectively at the ongoing WTT Youth Contender Antalya 2024.

With a place in the finals beckoning, Mohammadreza Neshati of Iran proved too much of a hurdle for Xing Yao to overcome in the Boys U17 semifinals, as the Singaporean lost 3-0. In the Girls U17 semifinals, Ming Ying lost the first two sets but hauled herself back into contention by winning the third set against Josephina Neumann of Germany but Neumann hung on to close the game in the fourth set.

They will be looking for more joy in Antalya as they compete in the Boys U19 Singles and Girls U15 Singles events starting today.
