The 11-year-old lost to Ukraine’s David Drobov in a thrilling semifinal match, 2-3 (11-5, 7-11, 9-11, 11-2, 11-13).
Neo had earlier come through the group stage unbeaten with 3 straight wins, and then beat Matei Nita of Romania by a scoreline of 3-2 (11-9, 6-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-7).
He then got the better of Polish opponent Ignacy Utylski in the quarterfinals, winning 3-1 (11-4, 11-7, 7-11, 11-7) to set up the semifinal clash with Drobov.
Well done Cheng Ming!
