The Singapore Table Tennis Association’s (STTA) marquee competition for Primary School players, the Crocodile Challenge Cup, concluded its week-long competition today, Sunday, 26 May, with the finals held at Velocity@Novena Square.

The year’s edition of the competition, which began on 20th May, witnessed a total of 426 participants from a record 89 schools taking part, surpassing last year’s total of 83. This remarkable turnout reflects the growing popularity and significance of the event within the table tennis community.

Isaiah Raphael Loh of Montfort Junior School and Arissa Cheng of Ai Tong School were the respective winners in the P5/6 Boys Singles and Girls Singles events, and will be sent on a fully-sponsored trip to an upcoming WTT (World Table Tennis) Youth competition overseas.

Gracing the finals of the Crocodile Challenge Cup 2024 was Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education. He was treated to an exciting final of the Primary 5 and 6 Boys singles, and presented the prizes to the Top 8 players from each category.

Since its establishment in 2011, the Crocodile Challenge Cup has served as an exceptional platform for primary school players to enhance their individual abilities.
