Nicholas Tan, 12 years old, won the Hopes Boys’ Singles event and his teammate Ellsworth Le, 11 years old finished as the runner up in the same event at the ITTF Junior Circuit Golden, SET Thailand Junior & Cadet Open, which concluded on 19 May 2019. 

Not to be outdone, Koen Pang, 17 years old, finished Joint Third in the Junior Boys’ Singles event. Koen together with Josh Chua and Beh Kun Ting also scored the silver in the Junior Boys’ Team event on Friday, 17 May 2019.
