Singapore’s Ellsworth Le and Chloe Lai finished as runners up in the U19 Mixed Doubles at the WTT Youth Contender Antalya 2024 earlier this morning, following a nail biting final against Yoan Velichkov and Tsvetelina Georgiev of Bulgaria.

The Bulgarians looked set to finish up the match in straight sets having raced to a 2-0 lead, but Le and Lai both showed tremendous resilience to win the next two sets 11-4, 11-8 to force the deciding final set.

The final set stayed true to script as neither pair wanted to concede defeat, but the Bulgarians eventually prevailed 14-12 to win 3-2.
