Singapore teenagers, Zhou Jingyi, 14 years old and Ser Lin Qian, 13 years old finished in third positions in the Cadet Girls’ Doubles and Cadet Girls’ Team events at the ITTF Junior Circuit Premium, Italy Junior & Cadet Open, which concluded yesterday.

In the Cadet Girls’ Doubles event, the duo beat the Hungarian pair ADAMIK Csenge/BALOGH Kira 3-0 in the Round of 32 and the Italians – ANGELI Caterina / ARLIA Nicole 3-1 in the Round of 16. In the quarter-finals, the pair continued their winning streak against ARAPOVIC Hana CRO/ PAPADIMITRIOU Malamatenia GRE 3-0.

In the semi-finals, the girls failed to secure a spot in the finals when they lost to SINGEORZAN Ioana ROU/ ZAHARIA Elena ROU 0-3. In the Cadet Girls’ Team event, Zhou Jingyi/Ser Lin Qian beat Team Poland 0-3 in the quarter-finals and lost to Team Romina 1-3 in the semi-finals, finishing the cadet team event with a bronze medal.
