We are pleased to share that with the support of many private corporations and individuals, the STTA Fund Raising Dinner which concluded today at Shangri-La (Island Ballroom) has raised over $473,000.  This event was graced by Mr Tan Chuan-Jin, Speaker of Parliament & President of Singapore National Olympic Council.

Through the STTA Fund Raising Dinner 2019, we hope to secure more funds to improve on the high performance support for our athletes and build on the pipeline for our athletes to have sustained podium success at the highest levels.

The funds raised will go towards the following initiatives:

• STTA’s Pathway Development for Team Singapore Paddlers, and
• STTA’s High Performance Sports System to develop Team Singapore Paddlers and enhance the training / competition environment for them locally and overseas.

During the dinner, STTA President Ellen Lee JP, PBM together with guest performer Mr Lee Khang Teng, PBM, Life Honorary Chairman and Vice-President of the Singapore Teochew Lee Clan Association staged a Teochew Opera Performance for the first time together to raise more funds for the Association.   Through their performance, the association is able to raise another $43,000.

Ms Ellen Lee Geck Hoon JP, PBM, STTA President says, “We would like to thank our donors for their support towards Singapore table tennis. With the support that we have received, Singapore table tennis will go on to even greater heights. We are committed and we will continue to push on and score greater sporting glory for Singapore. Once again, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to everyone who has made their kind donations.  ’’
