

Table Tennis: The WTT Youth Contender Puerto Princesa 2023 event witnessed an exceptional showcase of talent, with Singaporean youth players delivering outstanding performances and clinching top positions in various categories. Among the remarkable achievements were Singapore’s representation in the Under 11 Boys’ Singles, U15 Boys’ Singles, U17 Boys’ Singles, and U19 Boys’ Singles.
The U15 Boys’ Singles division saw NG Hong Siu Aron (吴泓劭), 15 years old, emerge as the champion, exhibiting unparalleled skill and determination. Aron’s journey to victory included remarkable victories in the group stage, Round of 16, Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and ultimately in the Finals. His exceptional performance was evident against Soma ONO (JPN) in the Finals.
In the U17 Boys’ Singles event, NG Hong Siu Aron continued to impress, securing the 3rd position in the competition.
In the Under 11 Boys’ Singles, LIEW Miguel (刘宇峻) and TANG Keegen (董恩伸), both 10 years old demonstrated their prowess by securing the 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively. Both players displayed incredible skills throughout the competition, leaving
a lasting impression on the audience.
YEO Ryan (楊鏮劼), 17 years old, representing Singapore in the U19 Boys’ Singles, demonstrated his resilience and talent by securing the 3rd position.
