
Team Singapore’s youth table tennis contingent concluded a successful campaign at the 2025 Southeast Asian (SEA) Youth Table Tennis Championships in Jakarta, returning home with a commendable medal haul of 3 Gold, 4 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals.
The championships, held from 17 to 22 April, featured the region’s most promising young talents across team and individual events.
Team Singapore’s three Gold medals came courtesy of an Izaac Quek led U19 Boys Team, where they defeated Malaysia 3-1 in the final after a series of clutch performances throughout the competition; the U19 Mixed Doubles pair of Ellsworth Le and Chloe Lai, as they showed resilience and grit to overcome a strong Malaysian pair in Richard Yap and Lim Jing Shuen in the final and rising star Loy Ming Ying, who won her second U15 Girls Singles title in 3 years, beating perennial rival Kulapassr Vijitvirayagul in a 4-3 thriller.

Singapore’s silvers came via the U15 Girls Team comprising of Loy, Janelle Chiang, Chong Zi Sian and Kayleigh Mae Ng; the U15 Girls Doubles pair of Loy and Chiang; U19 Boys Singles (Le) and the U19 Girls Doubles of Lai and Eudora Lee.

Bronzes went to the U19 Girls Team (Lai, Lee, Naomi Lum and Rhiannon Tey), U19 Boys Doubles (Loy and Le), U19 Mixed Doubles (Loy Xing Yao and Le), U19 Boys Singles (Nicholas Tan) and U15 Boys Doubles (Tristen Yee and Rafael Lim).
