We would like to thank Wong Xin Ru for her contributions to Singapore table tennis after she announced her retirement from competitive action to pursue her studies.
“It has been an honour to pursue my passion and represent my nation. To all the fans who have cheered me on from stadiums, arenas and screens around the world, I am deeply grateful for your passion and support. You have made this journey incredibly special, and I cherish the memories forever”, said the 22-year-old.
A multiple SEA Games medalist, including Gold in the Mixed Doubles with Koen Pang at Hanoi, her greatest achievement came when she was part of the team that clinched Gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
