
Up and coming paddler, Zane Ong, 12, finished his first event at the WTT Youth Contender Berlin 2025, the Boys U13 Singles, in joint-3rd, adding to his bronze that he won last week at Wladyslowowo in the same event.
The Singapore Sports School student had sealed his place in the semifinal with an impressive 3-0 win over Reah Krol of Isreal, 13-11, 12-10, 11-9, but found the going tougher against Ladimir Mayorov of Spain in the subsequent match, as the Spaniard outplayed the Singaporean, winning 11-7, 9-11, 11-8, 11-3.
His next event in Berlin is the Boys U15 Singles, where he successfully negotiated the group stage, and reached the knockout rounds,
